Welcome to the web home of Irvine High School Football. The Irvine Vaquero tradition has been built on a strong set of core values and the staff is committed to building traits in young men that will assist them in becoming better prepared to be thoughtful and productive members of society. An Irvine Football player and coach are expected to be Honorable, Reliable, Respectful, Committed and Team Oriented. By living these principles on a daily basis each player and coach can be proud of what he accomplishes on and off the football field.
Irvine Football has had its fair share of on the field success over the years. The Vaqueros have laid claim to 4 CIF Championships, 6 league titles and 16 City Championships. In addition, the Vaqueros have made multiple appearances in the CIF playoffs. Several former players have gone on to compete at the collegiate level in each of the NCAA and NAIA divisions. More than one player has been named Academic All American at the collegiate level. In addition, Irvine has a proud tradition of assistant coaches who have taken their skills to their own head coaching positions at the high school level. All of the success can be traced back to the core principles of Irvine Football and the emphasis on character first.
