Blitz Night and Silent Auction!

Irvine Vaqueros and Proud of it!!!!!
Hello Fellow Irvine Vaquero Parents!
I have just returned from an amazing weekend with the most incredible young men!
These young men were our sons! I have never been with a group of such fun, talented, polite, respectful young men! We had such a great time at Arroyo Grande Passing and Lineman competition!
I became a firm supporter of the Irvine Vaquero Coaching program. Boys like these don’t just happen. They are mentored and coached with a perfect blend of guidance, caring and discipline. This cannot happen without the support of us, the parents. In one week we will be having the infamous Blitz night and a lot will be going on.
The next event to take place after next Monday will be on Saturday the 29th of August when we will kick off the 2009 Football season with dinner and a silent auction. I am the chairman of the silent auction this year and I am so excited with what we have to offer you this year.
I would like for each family to bring with them to Blitz night next Monday a silent auction item to donate to our collection. You can provide all of the items for a donation basket (themes work great like movie night, baking basics, fun in the sun), gift certificates that may be lying around or that can be picked up from your favorite place to dine or hang out or something to accompany some of the gift items that I already have collected which I will list for you below.
Another idea that I love is something special that you might make, such as an afghan to use on cold Friday night games or a special cake that gets prepared for every special occasion. All of these items are of value and that value will go back into building the right kind of program that we want our boys to be a part of!!
I will have a table set up on blitz night to collect your items or your promise of something homemade for August 29th!
If you have the need for a letter to use to obtain a donation item or to use as a charitable receipt for a donation for tax time I will have those with me next Monday at Blitz night.

Gift certificates for In & Out Burger, Harbor side Restaurant in Newport Beach, Irvine Lanes, Lampost Pizza (1 FREE Pizza per month for a full year), Dave & Buster’s, Aquarium of the Pacific, Irwindale Speedway, Zoological Society of San Diego for Zoo or Wild animal park, Stonefire Grill, Adventure City Theme Park, The Irvine Hilton, Northwood Pizza & Whole Foods. Items that we have are: 3 beautiful pair of Oakley Sunglasses, A lovely large capacity ruby red crockpot, and 2 full shopping bags of Volcom clothing and accessories.
